Chapter V · Company

Engineers who decide, then build.
Most companies are offered a choice between advice and tools. Advice without the ability to build ends as a document. Tools without judgment end as another layer nobody governs. Dagg was founded on the belief that the two belong together, and that the harder part, deciding what should change and building it so it can be controlled, is exactly the part the market keeps splitting. The people who write the recommendation are the people who build it. Engineering is led from the top. When a workflow problem is large enough to become its own company, we build that company, AI-native from its first day.

The positions.
Six things we hold to be true. Every chapter in this book is one of them, made real.
- 01The first decision is what not to automate. Before anything is built, every step gets a verdict, and the first verdict is preserve.
- 02The model can change. The context remains. How your company’s work is done, what was decided and who owns it lives in one record, whichever model runs.
- 03Speed is only useful where accountability survives it.Every action carries a permission, an owner and a way back.
- 04Stop is a valid state. When a boundary is reached, the system waits for a person. That is a feature, not a failure.
- 05A claim without evidence is not a claim. We publish a result only with what stands behind it.
- 06Every cycle makes the next one better.Decisions, exceptions and evidence return to the record, so the next build starts with more context.

Accountable leadership
The people who set the direction stay accountable for what gets built.
No handoff from a strategy team to a delivery team, because there is no such split.
- Christian Pérez Founder and Chief Executive Officer Direction, engagements, and the decisions Dagg puts its name to. LinkedIn
- Simon Lundmark Chief Technology Officer WorkGraph, Dagg Factory, and the technical standard every release must meet. LinkedIn
- Led from the top
- Engineering is led by the people who lead the firm, from the first conversation to the release.
- One boundary
- The assessment decides. A build is a separate, justified step with its own owner and its own way back. Nothing proceeds by default.
- What stays inside
- Your work is not our material to publish. What compounds across engagements is our method, tooling and evaluations, never your data, your decisions or your results without permission.

Start with the decision that matters most.
An assessment takes one consequential path through your company and decides what should change and what, if anything, should be built.
